Joonas was born in Finland, but his father was originally from Japan:

"My father is Japanese and came from Japan to Finland for travel and work purposes. Then he met my mother in Tampere, my mother is a Finn. They got married, and I was born in Helsinki in 1982", Tamura describes,"

I also have an older brother who lives in Finland and is a musician. My mother's hobby was singing in the choir, and she put me in music school at the age of 5 years; she was interested in music. Both parents were interested in music, supportive, and encouraging. This is important, and I am happy and grateful for it".

Tamura continued to grow with music as he got older. - "Later came the piano and soon the electric guitar. When I became a teenager, all my sports hobbies had to cease, because soon after, at 15 years old, I started to concentrate on music more professionally, he explains. " I was supposed to go and study Radio & TV technology, but instead, I graduated from Sibelius High School in Helsinki in 2001.

"Then, I graduated from Helsinki Polytechnic Pop & Jazz Conservatory in 2007. Music Technology was what I specialized in.

I recently got Sound Designer work from Kulttuuritehdas Vernissa Vantaa Kaupunki, "Tamura explains.

Tamura has done music work for Nibai Ry and thinks that volunteer work benefits everybody because it can lead to actual paid work.

"I think there is a lot of education available, but finding paid work is hard, especially in the field of Music," he explains.

Tamura approaches clients with Japanese hospitality. He describes:

"In my customer service, there is always a humble Japanese politeness, and I can always pick up my customer near Sörnäinen metro station with my Japanese Blue Mitsubishi Colt car to the studio in Kalasatama", he continues, "I think that the positive aspect of Japanese culture is that they always respect elders and kids, of course. For example, when Japanese kids start school at the age of five, they learn to clean. I like to apply positive aspects of Japanese culture to my work as well as to my customers".
