Compote

Too many berries? No worries, just make an easy compote!

1 kg of berries (in my case black currant)

2 dl brown sugar

2 lemons

Pour the berries, sugar and lemon juice squeezed from 2 lemons into a 5l saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes. Add the squeezed lemons. Turn off the stove and let it brew for half an hour. Press and squeeze the berries. Stir and taste. You can add honey or more lemon juice if you want. Pour the juice through a strainer into another container and finally squeeze the berries through the strainer. Mix. Bottle and refrigerate if you want. It 's good both warm and cold.

A vitamin-rich, fresh, and tasty drink is ready.

This is a sure hit in our family! Adults and children alike love it.
